Job-completion photo checklist
Photos protect you on warranty claims, prove the work for bonus sign-off, and feed your reviews and website. One rule: same angle, same light, every work area.
For every estimate
- Wide shot of every room or area in the scope
- Close-up of each damaged area with a tape measure in frame
- Anything that affects price: access, height, finish to match, hidden damage risk
Before work starts
- Wide and close "before" of each work area
- Any existing damage nearby (scuffs, cracks, stains) so it is on record
After work
- "After" from the exact same spot and angle as each "before"
- Detail shot of the finished work (cut lines, seams, texture match, hardware)
- Clean work area photo
- For hidden work (blocking, wiring boxes, backing): a photo before it is closed up
Quality check before you send
- In focus and well lit (use a work light at a raking angle for drywall)
- No customer faces, family photos or personal documents in frame
- Attached to the right job, labelled by area
